Hello, I don't stop by too often these days I am afraid but for those who know me...I did finally get the BBS's off my 86 944 Lux and ended up with a nice set of 16" Teledials with a hi-gloss black centre, thanks Porscheapart for them! They look great and I will post some pictures when the weather clears up!

Anyhow, I think the time has come to look at getting my amazing crystal green paintwork revitalized. It is starting to look a bit tired in places! Who would'nt after 23 years!!

So my question today is...anybody have indication of costs...It is not that I am looking for the cheap option but I would like to be efficient about it. I am not changing the color, as I love it.

Thanks all, Chris

Well it's a great time for it. Bodyshops are quiet with the colapse in car prices. New cars are being written off too easily & high excesses are forcing many to drive around with dings in there motors. For a full glass out job with everything striped down & done properly should be no more than 2K now labour + materials. (You may get it for less.) The guy I use paints Astons & Jags for the maindealers. I've taken a DB7 & a DB9 there for work & I can't fault the quality. Mines booked in a week for a proper tidy up http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2838 It's not too far from Porsche apart. You have to remember that if it were an insurance job the amount the bodyshop get paid is the same for an Aston as it is for a Nissen Micra. Too many places get the Porsche price book out when you go for a quote.

Sounds about right. I would expect to pay anywhere from 1500 upwards. (My brother has a bodyshop)
