Can anybody help me? New to me car (944S2 1991) Off side hand brake cable just gone. Unable to find a diagram on line. Cables listed as long cable and short cable? Am I right in thinking that the near side is the long one and the off side is the short one.? Just want to be certain before I order a replacement. Also any hints and tips on replacement would be useful.
Thanks
Bigwave

Replaced the long one last weekend.Liberal use of Penetrating oil , angle grinder , assorted drill bits and engineers fine adjusting tool finally removed the old one after three hours!!!

Short one looks quite easy in comparison!!

Official Porsche Centre, it is what dealers are known as now. We'll chuck loads of other TLAs at you later such as DME, PCN etc.....

THanks again Jim
I get wiser every day.....even at my age.........Still thay say its better to ask what may be a silly question and get the correct answer than not to ask and not know.
Best

You were correct about the price of the cables.Got them from Euro carparts.On-line the cheapest and no delivery charge. They do carry a wide range of Porsche parts.
Thanks for the info.
