Finally getting the Blue Rocket into some sort of presentable shape. Paintwork came up quite well I think from the dull blue colour it was throughout winter. Good jet wash, clay bar every panel, polished and waxed. Cleaned all the glass area's and made a start on the interior but me tea was ready by then ![]() Lokking forward to getting out and about to some club meets this year so maybe see you at one. Andy |

Looking good! The sunroof maybe because it has the wrong seal. Someone here has had that I think it may have been Adam. There are two seals dependant on the year of car & a lot of suppliers get it wrong! |

very tidy, there does seem to be a lot of issues with the sunroof seals dependant on the supplier, maybe it will bed in eventually ... as long as it doesn't leak |

I changed both the inner and outer seals on the sunroof of my 924S and when I re-fitted the roof it looked like yours, I gently pushed down on the roof from above and it pushed down into the recess. I did this for a few times after opening and closing and applied a little silicon grease to the seal edges now it sits inside the recess fine. But I agree there are different seals and you need to get the right one I think I was lucky when I bought mine. |

Suits it well. ![]() Thanks J.J I like it and more importantly my better half likes it so theres half the battle one ![]() This is the exterior late last year after new sills fitted. The front wings are still not attached at the bottom at this stage so stuck out a bit. Going to have another go at sunroof at weekend ![]() |

Had another bash at the sunroof fitment (literally a bash) damn thing still wont fit but my old roof fits fine so it's staying, even if a little damaged, for now. Changed to clear indicator lenses which has updated the whole front of the car. Took front wheel off to get at headlight bracket to adjust the unit which was crooked. Did this and the lights flipped up but wouldn't go down. Found a bolt had worked loose at back of unit which must be some sort of stopper and as I had been fiddiling around adjusting how the light unit sat it was now screwed out to far. Quick adjustment, found a 10mm bolt to lock it down and full flippy operation back. Took back bumper off to adjust the brackets because it was on a slant and found one side had a nice pressed steel bracket, the other side had a lump of iron pipe shoved through a hole and a crude bracket welded onto it. I'm sure it wasn't genuine Porsche fitment ![]() Good day altogether and getting into this light car restoration lark ![]() |
