Sorry to hear you are disappointed Nick, we have to order membership cards and do that in batches. Depending on when you joined during that cycle will determine how quickly everything arrives.

Your membership pack should be with you soon, Dave aka (Siggy) will be on here later to confirm.

If there is anything you need from us urgently please drop me a note.

I took to the post office for them to weight so that I used the correct stamps.
And have put the same amount on all the others.

I will check that again at the post office

At least you have it now and we know why it was delayed, I'll ask Brian to send you a cheque for the £1.40.

Out of interest how much postage was on the enevelope and what was the handling fee?

Hi

I have been caught out with this one

Received a Christmas card and collected from the Post Office sorting office with £1.40 excess postage

Went to local post office and asked why excess postage

Advised it was because envelope was too large. Measured it and discovered 2 mm too long in one direction but fitted through gauge in other direction. It's a con.

£1 was a penalty charge and the 40 pence was the excess

Asked about a reclaim and was told not possible

Looks like another scam.

Looks like membership is expensive, due to others, and is yet another method of government interferance to prop up failing central incomes

Beware Xmas could be more expensive than you all expect in 2009

It has already happened to other people I know

Therefore, postage is now becoming £1.40 plus the cost of the stamp which is going up yet again
