It sounds like a whole bunch of independent problems to me… there are a lot of “usual” reasons why each of these occur… an earth problem will either stop that particular item/s from working altogether, or cause a different item to work poorly at the same time (brake lights come on with indicators for example).

Reversing lights on sounds like the reversing light switch sticking or broken, starter motor either down to battery/charging condition, connections corroded or starter motor u/s, lights not working could be anything from fuse, through the very often occurring broken wire that flexis with the headlamp units, to dodgy connections and blown bulbs.

Washers could be anything again, from shot pump, switch, to know water of the foot valve blocked.

Has the car been stood around for a while by any chance???

Hi,
Thanks for that.
Funny you should say that-yes it has stood for a while, I was just kind of hoping to clean one wire and everything would be wonderful again !!
