Hi all,
has anyone replaced the engine mounts on a 944 S2 ? How hard is it, can it be done by the home mechanic on the drive or best left to the experts ?
Thanks Neal

I've changed them on my lux and I'm guessing its pretty much the same. You support the engine with a jack and lift it up while dropping the crossmember down on its bolts. If you need a bit more clearance you may need support the crossmember and undo the steering rod to drop it further. The left one is pretty easy once you remove the airbox. The right one on the other hand can be a bit of git to line up, a flex-head self-ratcheting spanner (13mm, if I remember correctly) should alleviate some of the swearing. Best of luck!

TBH I bailed on mine & got an Indie to do it whilst they were doing some other work. There is very little space on the OS one!
