help please...I'm removing the carpet from my 1983 944 and need to remove a large bolt to do so. It is located behind the pedals but I'm not sure what it is attached to. Before undoing it can any one advise please?

Can't say that on my 944 or a couple of 924s that I had seen any bolts holding the carpet down.
If its bolted throught the carpet then I would suspect that its not a factory bolt.
You need to have a look under the bulkhead (under the bonnet) to see what is holding down

Could it be the stop for the accelarator pedal?

I haven't been outside to look at mine though so I could be wrong

hmmm not sure what it is...its very low down directly behind the accelerator pedal, right on a bulge in the carpet?? Would be appreciative if someone were able to see if they have something similar.
