Had a change of heart on the viper stripes so took them off today and added red rim tape to the alloys and tinted the rear lights red, bit different so how long it will stay like this who knows but its ok for now. Still looking for another set of alloys which will be on as soon as I find some. Hopeing to get to the club night tomorrow if I`m back in time and weather allowing.

Whatever grabs you. Just thawed mine out & used it on Saturday. Looked outside & it's under a couple of inches of snow again. Looks like the train for me on Monday.

Got it off ebay, its listed in the motorbike section, mine is 5mm thick but it comes in all sorts of widths and colours, only cost a fiver.

and you can curve it ok?

It comes curved in quaters with 2 spare bits so 10 in all, they list different rim sizes I had 17" ones for mine which are 15" and haave 2 left over. They were easy to fit once I found a locating point to use as a guide. It would be easy if there was a lip on the outside of the rim as you could butt up against it.

Looks nice...it's good to be different. 8) But shouldn't you have posted this pic in the "Post your pride and joy" thread at the top of the 924,944,968 section? Or are you affraid of the roasting you might get. (Judging by the comments of late on there.) :violent3: :toothy5:

is this street legal ?

Post subject:  Re: DIFFERENT LOOK

technically no...

my advice - do it, then get some ultra bright orange led rear, erm, bulbs lol - buy an led flasher and they should still shine thru the red tint orange. My 964 lenses are all red, and works fine...

you can do the reverse light i think, as by law you dont need one.

Looks good I do like them in red but a pain to maintain as it fades quickly and you are forever buffing it back or a good re-paint. Think you are right about needing different alloys like them in black but needs something bigger with less tyre in my opinion. I have used that tape on my bike before and to stop it peeling I gave them a light coat of lacquer which made it easier to clean the chain lube and brake dust off without fear of lifting the tape. Quite liked the stripes you had on before but nice to change the look stops the boredom setting in.
