I know its been a while since i last posted on here. But I just wanted to let you guys know that last night I said goodbye to the 44.
Last week i thought i would try and sell her on ebay i put a reserve on so it would cover some other things, and on sunday evening she had just made her reserve. The buyer contacted me straight away and i said if it was going to be easier i would delivery the for for him, We got to the guys house after a little road losing and the guy was really made up with it. He said that his friend had bought a 24, he had the 44 and are doing a trip to le mans with the cars.

I will pop on from time to time and no doubt i will see some of you at regional shows.

Thanks guys.

Maybe one day i will have another and it was an experience but as a lesson learnt i will maybe make sure i have enough funds for one thats maybe newer with not a massive engine problem. The only thing that got with mine was the fact it didnt have the power steering. But an experience none the less.

And if you guys are interested here is the link to the album i have on my facebook profile of the pics to the new toy http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6 ... =677423505

It was cheap but the car actually runs and drives as sweet as a nut just needs tlc on the outside as you will see. But i could always keep you posted on it if you all wanted. It was at the end of the day the car i really wanted, but i can always look back and say 'Well i have owned a Porsche' it doesnt matter the fact that it was 24 years old its still a Porsche ;)

Sad to see you leave Porsche ownership Sazzy. The Jap thing will wear off & you'll end up back as a Pork owner in the near future

I need it on the road first. but i still get to drive Daves GTO.

Those that are interested i have uploaded some new pics to my facebook profile so keep your eyes peeled, also anyone who wishes to add me on there please feel free to do so.

Daves doing a fantastic job with it so far really over the moon about it. I have been doing a few bits managed to get rid of the bright blue on the door panels and on the dash area. some bits i am leaving white as it will just bring everything to life when i get to finish the interior properly.

The bumper that was on the car when we picked it up was a Veilside Vadar front bumper but i wasn't over keen on it anyway so, when i went collecting all the parts on Wednesday i was trying to get hold of a Mark 2 front bumper and couldn't for love no money but a friend of ours had a Mark1 front bumper so i got that and Dave has started to modify it to accommodate the headlights and the indicators. There are still a couple of items to get but the main things have been bought it just a case of putting it back together and then painted so we can get him back on the road.

for those that are interested in the new toy, i have updated some pictures on my facebook profile the links to the albums are as follows.
Hope you all like what's happening with him so far. things are taking a while as fibre glass and so forth seems to be taking ages to go off with the fact that the weather is so damn cold.
