Hello, does anyone have a circlip tool VW161A I could rent or borrow please. I need to tackle my 944S2 gearbox synchromesh between 3rd and 4th gear. Many thanks Glenn |

Many thanks Glenn Hi Glenn, I might be missing something here but they look like circlip pliers from the google search I just did? Could you not improvise with some similar standard circlip pliers? |

I have tried every kind of circlip pliers I can find and none of them are robust and substantial enough to separate this circlip. Hence the nature of this tool, to surround the circlip and open it whilst maintaining its shape. I shall keep looking. There was one on a german website for £120 which I was tempted to buy only to discover they had sold out and not updated website. I will continue to live in hope. Best wishes Glenn |
