Finally got back to fitting the s/h speedo sender unit and wey hey - it works perfectly. :D

Drove a couple of miles and realised the odometer wasnt working though :( so dash out (again) and dismantled the binacle to see my speedo gear appears to be missing a couple of teeth as expected so off to find the right one now - pic attached if anyone can give me any details.

Of course now ive had the dash out a few times, the tacho seems to be intermittently cutting out so i must have disturbed the connections on the binacle :(

2 steps forward and 1 back as always with these cars..

https://www.odometergears.com

Count the teeth and then order, if there are any other gears change them while you have it in bits

Thanks, got one on its way to me.

While its out, can someone tell me the spec for the cluster illumination bulbs please - may as well swap them whilst I'm at it.

They are standard 504 in the illumination don’t go for high power ones, 3w I think is normal

Bigger ones get too hot and melt the surrounds, the only way to brighter is Canbus LED’s

genuine Porsche bulbs
900 631 019 90 £2.34 each and they are listed as 3w in PET
