 Post subject: 1991 S2 cab boot won’t lock.

Hi all, I’ve a problem with the boot not locking on my S2 cab when I close it’s not locking, it’s also blown number one fuse 20 amp. Were do I start. Thanks.

As in not lock, or not shut and stay shut

If it’s not locking it’s possibly the micro switch on the lock which is a complete sod to get at

Thanks Waylander, when I close the lid it doesn’t lock shut so it looks like it’s going to be the micro switch. It seems nothing is easy about Porsche ownership!!! Any clues on making the job easy.

yes you have to pull the carpet down and you can see it I believe, through a hole in the inner panel, with a big rubber boot in

is it an electric release on the 944?

might be the cable to tight

Thanks again Waylander, yes it has an electric release in the drivers footwell and the key lock on rear panel. Will check it out tomorrow.
