Anyone use Quick jacks with a 944 and could give a review . I would like to know how the car is being supported on the sills, ease of use etc please .
Santa's helper might be sent down Costco if its a positive review

I have a set of Quickjacks & am very pleased with them.
I bought them because of the work I was doing on the car and it gave me better access to the underside than I could get confidently using jacks and axle stands. With a low level creeper I have sufficient space to get under the car with ease. I do use both of the blocks to give the extra height though.
It has also brought the engine bay up to a much more back friendly height and I am no longer bent over like Richard III when under the bonnet.
Working on the discs/ calipers, changing brake pads is an absolute breeze and I can see them being really useful in doing a decent wheels off clean as well as raising the car to a good height for clay bar and polishing action when I get to that stage.
Think about storage when not in use and make sure the if you use hooks you have secure fixings as they are not the lightest.
If you would like to see them in the flesh, drop me a PM. I’m in Essex about 3/4 mins from M25/A12 interchange.

Thank you for the replies and the invitation , I like the idea of being able to use them outside of the garage although I appreciate they are heavy .
She's going to struggle to get these under the tree !

I’ve been using the 5000 SLX version since 2016 with my 928, so you’ll need to check the distance between lift points for 944, but it’s an absolute boon. Feels much safer and gets more height than axle stands, and I can have the whole car in the air in minutes, with clear access down centre. In my dreams I’d have a two post, but no room for that in my garage so this is a good compromise. Storage no issue - the ramps are low enough to drive over when pushed under car, and 928 has pretty low clearance. Be careful when using both rubber blocks at each lift point though - if they’re not perfectly square to the car they will start to shear over, so just line them up accurately before lifting.

Can these be operated from mains power?

You have a choice of 12v or 240ac . Costco are out of stock of the BL5000 so will probably go for the BL3500 as only using this on the 944 although the uk distributer is only 15 miles up the road so might go and badger them about a discount .

If you go to Liftmaster ltd .co.uk they show the 240ac being £100 cheaper than the 12v model on the BL5000 which they have in stock . No discount but free shipping .

Thanks. Not sure I'd get the use to justify one at the moment. But maybe in the future.

I've been looking at these too. Apart from mobility, these or a scissor lift. QJ are cheaper but not by that much and the scissor looks a bit more solid with higher lift if that's an option, which I don;t think I can use mind.
Anyone used/tried both?

Costco have £200 off the BL-3500 at the moment , so just under £800 inc vat and delivery .

£800 inc VAT & delivery  blimey what a stonking deal! Buy it, use for a year and sell for what they cost you! Free car lift for a year - what’s not to like about that!

Hope to catch one soon when we shop at Costco. Need to finish first the installation of the suspension from 4Wheelonline onto the Wrangler before we can clear the garage for the 944.
