Does anyone know if the sunroof lifting arms can be manually retracted completely using the mechanism in the boot - so the sunroof panel can be removed not just tilted ?
My electrical operation only allows for tilting, it's time to sort out the seals, (leaks) and I can't budge those lifting arms.

Cheers,
Kev

I think it should be possible with the motor in the boot, and spanner

There is plenty of info on here about fixing the roof, and your issue sounds like the micro switch in the centre at the front

Cheers - Ill have a go tomorrow unwinding the sunroof manually and see what happens. I've had the car 7 years, never had the roof off !
I know the elecs are the problem, just didn't want to make matters worse by fiddling with switches etc - perhaps it's time to take the plunge.

Would appreciate your update about replacing those seals. My uncle has been asking about the leak on the sunroof of his 944. I'm coming over this weekend to help him install the brake kit and kmc wheels on his Silverado project. TIA

I would say that the sunroof seal is never the same, after fitting a new one, the outer seal lets water through regardless of age, the drains are possibly blocked, use some strimmer wire to clear them.
the innner seal can allow water into the cabin by capillary action, if the drains are blocked,
