Post subject:  Crazy headlamps
My headlamps seem to have a mind of their own at the moment. Sometimes they behave impeccably, other times when I flick the on/off switch they go into a never ending cyle of up/down/up/down/up/down etc etc until I pop the bonnet and pull the connector off the motor (usually not quite at the fully open position so I'm lighting up a small area about 3 feet in front of the car!)

Is this the relay, or has something else worn out? :roll:

Hi there, I think there was a post similar to your own some time last year on here. May be worth looking through them? :roll: It could also be that there is an old wire that's broken somewhere in the headlight motor loom. Hope this helps or points you in the right direction.

Its under "Headlights motor issues" and it comes with a health warning, you do need to read it

Thanks Pete - wouldn't be so silly as to stick my fingers anywhere near the moving parts; but certainly worth remembering!

Looks like it is the relay then :bounce:
