The rubber grommet has departed from the body of the lower rear lid lock. .......this is probably why it rattles a bit...so, been searching for a remedy and without buying a complete bottom rear lid lock, I stumbled across these two:

https://partworks.de/en-en-briefware-in ... -lock.html

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-944- ... %7Ciid%3A1

What are your thoughts please? Anyone tried this or other remedies?

Thanks in advance,

M

I have the partwerks ones in my car, they work fine, the ones that came out were dust

I removed the locks completely to clean them out and paint them, before fitting as what has ruined the old ones is the piles of grease poked down them, petrochemical based grease and rubber do not mix, white silicone grease only

The Only944 ones work fine. Kyle has some very nice stuff. His gear linkage kit is fantasic.

I was thinking I would need some new hatch pins as well.

Pressed the green button on the Partworks grommet as well as new hatch pins. Also took apart the lock mechanism and found half a grommet in one and none in the other.... ...so fingers crossed Ill get a better seal as well.
