I don't know it and although it looks a nice car seems to be highly priced for a 147K mile car. I do have an almost identical 1991 (H) S2 same colour but with 50K less miles and only paid around £5 a year ago when they were valued better due to fuel cost credit crisis etc.

We've not talked money but I'd hope to get him down some as the advert is a month old now. My budget was £4k but if a car has particularly good recent history (usual things seen to by specialist) I am considering.

I'm one of these people who are not overly concerned on mileage as long as things have been seen to as they needed attention.

Be very careful buying from a dealer. You will pay lots more & have less in researve for when things go wrong. He probably got that for 2K as a part ex. Join the club. Look at lots of owners cars & ride in them. Do the homework first it's a lot cheaper. Thanks to the economy there are some very good cars being sold for very little. Don't just limit yourself to the S2. (If that one hasn't had a full rebuild I bet it's close to one & thats at least 4K)

Just buy on condition.
