Loads of stuff about transaxle fluid changes on line. But does the manual transaxle also have a filter that needs changed ? DC |

No it does not, only the auto or tiptronic |

Brilliant thanks What transaxle oil would you recommend for a 91 Turbo with LSD? |

Always used to be Swepco which made a massive difference to mine but I believe it is difficult or impossible to get these days. My go to oil for manual boxes has always been Castrol Syntrax LSD. Probably worth changing and then changing again shortly after to get it flushed out. |

I never suggest a particular brand or version or whatever, I really don’t like the he said use when it all blows up, because the diff has an LSD that was not mentioned or some other issue The only real advice is make sure the fill plug is out, before you undo the drain plug, nothing worse than an empty gearbox and a stuck fill plug |
