I’ve spent the day fitting new bellows to the wiring loom by the door hinges, also new door checks straps/stops, new outer window scraper seals n clips and finally fitted new clips for the screen trim and repainted the trim. Oh and half way through fitting a brand new fuel filler neck boot. All the parts I got were from my local OPC, I have to say theses parts and loads of other parts I got were either cheaper than ebay or other suppliers. I’m also pleasantly surprised at what’s still available! The new fuel filler boot was from Design911, brand new genuine Porsche part and cheaper than lots of used eBay ones!!!
Sorry this was meant to be on ‘what have you done today’ section

They normally are cheaper than 30 year old parts on eBay

To be honest I put off going to my OPC for ages, sounds stupid I know but I thought I’d get looked down on just having an old 944, but the guys I spoke to when ordering were great and couldn’t have helped any more. I’ll be going there first for all my parts now.

I've got a new one that needs fitting - is it difficult? Any tips?

Back in work today so I’ve not finished the job yet, it has two cable ties around the narrow part onto the filler neck. I was able to remove the old one easily however I suspect the boot carpet on that side and the metal filler neck cover will need to be removed to refit easily and properly.
I’ll update when finished.
