The FPR for the Turbo with the threaded connection is rare as rocking horse poo, only place I could find is a seller in eastern europe with none-Bosch part.
Luckily mine tested out fine

Hi guys, I had a run out to the coast last week in my 944 Cab with my son in his 1992 944 Cab. My son's car started to miss-fire badly approaching the coast, belching out black smoke and smelling of petrol. We pulled over to the roadside and his car would not tick over, he had to depress the accelerator to keep the car running. We managed to get the car back home but he had used a huge amount of fuel to do just that. We feel that it might be the fuel pressure regulator at fault but I would appreciate your expert help on this one? Cheers, 944bob |

If you pull off the vac hose to the FPR and it’s full of fuel then you could well be right, but the only real way of testing them is with a fuel pressure gauge |

As Waylander said you need to check it with a pressure test. Check the fuel dampener as well - if that model has one. If it is the FPR search very widely for one. I had to replace one on the 944s 2 yrs ago, my OPC could provide one at ~£280, I ended up buying one from USA for £99 inc shipping and tax exact same Bosch FPR made in Germany and shipped twice round the world for 1/3 of the price - madness! |

Prophead wrote: Pretty sure Lindsey racing do their own one for the turbo. Not a straight swap for the threaded FPR though, they do an adjustable FPR with a threaded connection and the rest are the clamp type connection so you have to change your fuel hoses to match. |

I've still got my standard turbo threaded one, plus 2 3 bar ones, one on car obviously, all work fine. Maybe should get them insured!! |

Not a bad idea - I did lookup the fuel hoses for the clamp type FPR - Return Line - 951 356 917 03 - £167.06 inc VAT FPR - 944 110 198 03 - £317.52 inc VAT As you know the threaded FPR (944 110 198 05) is no longer available... |

Not a problem, Can someone point me in the right direction to the Porsche part number for the fuel pressure regulator please? I am getting a variety of different part numbers the more I search the internet!!! I do realise it could be something else, but this would maybe be a good place to start! 1992 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet; non-turbo; 3 litre straight 4. Cheers guys, Bob |

Throttle positioning sensor, in particular check that the WOT switch is functioning correctly |
