OK.....been trying to track down a few issues with my front lights. I basically want to know how they operated from stock as I am pretty sure mine do not. So, my car, UK RHD 1988 924s....... Headlamp interior switch has three positions. First one.....off.... second one....round headlights pop up, but not on and parking lights come on (not the auxiliary lights) the small side bulb within the rectangular housing third one....round headlights come on, side lights stay on and no auxiliary lights. High beam works for the pop up round lights but does not operate the auxiliary lights below. Also when all lights are off in position 1 and I use the flash from the stalk this does not operate the auxiliary lights...... So, just trying to understand how it should all operate before I go down the rabbit hole............ ![]() Thanks, M |

indeed to me as well..but mine do not operate like that.........just trying to work out if it's a relay thing or something else...for example..in the first position my round pop up's pop up...as opposed to be staying down.....where I have learned that just the parking lights should come on...... The operation wasn't the same for all years - lighting regulations changed at various periods which means that the operation of some lights is different (also different country regulations if car has been imported). You can get relay testers (dummy relays with switches) on Amazon which are good for testing. |
