Anyone got one of these in poor condition that I can use to have a trimmer make up a new one?

Porsche have dark Blue ones in stock £1404.00 cheap at half the price, I dont know anyone with one of these, but you might get one from the USA, 944-reanimation |

There are a few options but still fairly costly... Rose passion have them at EUR730 Southbound will make one for £480 Can buy one in the USA for $500 + maybe £125 import duty/tax Someone selling "new" replica ones made on ebay for £490 I assumed a trimmer could make one for £200-300 if he had a pattern to follow. Hence a ratty old one that can be used as a pattern. |

I recently had Southbound make me a new roof cover/tonneau for my 944 in burgundy to match my burgundy roof. I sent the original black one to them to use as a template for the new one. It cost considerably more than the 400 odd pounds tho quoted (£720 iirc) Absolutely nothing wrong with the original black one, just wanted one to match my roof.

Southbound are a trimmer - and they have this on their current price list at £480 - this is + VAT so I guess more like £600 with vat & postage etc. May have to bite the bullet and order one but it still seems a lot for this item so I thought I'd see what the possibilities were. |

I know Southbound quite well, their work is top notch...you have to pay for that kind of expertise,sadly, I have never found a short cut.Trimmers know the value of their work and will charge accordingly, if I ever found one who was dramatically cheaper I would probably steer clear anyway

I can think of two trimmers near me that would make one but again need a pattern B-Trim in ponders end, they do all the main dealer work around here, last time i was in there, they were redoing the interior on a Bentley (Q7) bentagya, in bright orange, yuck the other is a good bunch in Harlow Town, Trim N Stich, they have just done a brill job on a pair of linen sports seats for my buddies 968 Cab |
