ok stupid question I know...going to pick up a pre-oval 944 in the next couple of days and couldn't see how to open the fuel door...is there a cable release in the cabin somewhere or does it simply pull open when the doors are unlocked?

No,the flap itself doesnt.Have a look at the second thread down in this 924,944,968 section entitled "links every 944 owner shouldnt be without",posted by Hotblack944.youll find no end of useful info in those links,Clarks garage is particularly helpful for d.i.y. Also,go back to the Tipec home page, click on Resources then click on Purely Porsche to find another load of info.Oh and welcome to the forum! :hello1:
