Post subject:  968 Sport RoadTrip
Taking my 968 Sport on a Mini RoadTrip to Spa this coming Weekend for the GP, and wanted to stick a litre of Oil in the Boot..

What should I be taking..? 10W-50..?

take a look in the manual,

I use 20W50 as its old and 160k

10W50 sould be fine, just make sure it has some ZDDP in it

Sorry, yes mine is a Normal Mileage Car [160K 8) ] so wanted to know the Real World weight rather than what is recommended in the Manual etc.

So 20W/50 it is.. :) Thanks

What do you use specifically..? Mobil etc.?

but i find my car is happiest on Euro Triple QX mineral 20W50 its 1200PPM ZDDP and i get the best oil pressure when hot with it

I have tried all sorts over the last 22K changing at 3000 miles every time

I took my 968 to Spa for the 24 Hours of Spa at the end of July. The car performed perfectly, but I was very glad that I got the A/C fixed before I went as the outside temperature reached 40C at one point.

I run Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 10W50 in mine. This also has a high ZDDP content.

Typically, I didn't need the Oil.. But good nevertheless to have in the Workshop / Shed / Cupboard..
