Early 944 Electric Window Relay Issue.

Post subject:  Early 944 Electric Window Relay Issue.
Hi, my electric windows stopped working in my '84 944, after doing all the checks, fuse, switch cleaning, etc. I jumped the relay terminals and the windows worked both sides, so I have a busted relay, nothing more. (It did not help that a replacement relay I purchased off eBay also turned out to be dead which prolonged my testing, see photo of damaged circuit board of the spare I bought).

My questions is this: My old relay is brown/red (944 615 112 00) and I am struggling to find a replacement, I come across the black relay a lot (944 615 112 02) which I believe might be the later relay. Can I use this on my early car?

I hope you got a refund?

Had similar experience when I bought a replacement window switch. The replacement was worse than the one it was meant to be replacing.

you need to be searching for the superceeded part

944 615 112 01, still available from Porsche £40.75 Inc Vat

944 615 112 00 was dropped as a spare part in Oct 2008
