Sun roof hasnt worked for a number of years decided to see if could get it up or out to clean moss etc from seal.Nothing happens until replaced blown fuse where roof raises itself with out ignition on ! Refuses to be lowered by using the nut on motor in boot until I remove fuse again. So question is ...Is it a switch problem (short) a relay problem or something else? Don't fancy relay switch around ? Should I raise it then switch relays or test switch ,if it has more than two, wires that's beyond my electrical knowledge! |

Depends on the year of your car, probably a micro switch out of adjustment, try here http://www.clarks-garage.com/ garage shop manual/body/sunroof. |

A more complex solution to opening a lump of plastic I couldn't think of!. There is a flow chart in the genuine Porsche manual which is a good start, together with from memory Clarkes & Pelican guides. The microswitches are a common point of hassle. My one (also an 87) failed with the handle on the header rail, the first time I tweaked it by bending the arm & a few weeks later it was giving hassle so looped the connection to short the switch out, end of problem. |
