Given the amount of crap being churned up on the roads currently, has anyone fitted mudflaps to their 944. If so, were they vehicle specific or universal ? I know they were an option for Swedish 944's but suprised they weren't fitted elsewhere in Europe. |

I was just wondering if there was a set available specifically for the 944, otherwise its a case of attempting to find a decent pair of universal ones. |

transmission(trans) and axle(axle)=transaxle,ie the gearbox and differential is all one unit and is sited at the rear of the car just like yours! ![]() |

Not sure if this would help you, but the '24 and '24 turbo had mudflaps as an option (i know this as my '24 has them). maybe you could find some and modify them? 944bloke, transaxles aren't just for rwd cars, altought thats where they are most likely to be found, i belive audi used transaxles in fwd applications and i think subaru do aswell for the for the front driven axle part of the 4wd system. |

Further to that: the gearbox in a 924 and deriviatives is a FWD AUDI transaxle, hence the bellhousing... |

Demon thieves do coloured ones. So if your car is red white or blue you buy a set & cut them to shape. It's only 2mm plastic so quite easy. Not sure it would look right though! Had a set on my old 106 rallye. Suited it pretty well. Seen them on 911 classic rally cars also. Clutch it at the front with the flywheel. |

I suspect the ones you mention are similar to the ones currently on offer in Halfrauds (also available in red white or blue) which look atrocious. Using the car as a daily driver (approx 15k a year) I am already getting fed up with having to clean the crud thrown up by the tyres from below the doors every 2 days ![]() |

A mate had some mudflaps fitted to his 928 at Porscheshop a couple of months ago. Not sure if they are OEM or aftermarket but I guess its worth a call to see if they are available for a 944 |

Andy G did a clutch change on his car and wrote about it in this section.Go back to page 8 and scroll down to "clutch change". ![]() Matt. I didnt know about the Audi or the Subaru although I can see how it would make sense especially in the 4WD application. I can remember watching Colin Mcrae throwing his Subaru around Clumber Park in the days when the rally actually went all round the country and not just Wales! ![]() |

Think these are the optional mudflaps for the 924S probably the same as the turbo bit expensive though see link: http://www.autoatlanta.com/model/924S-86-88/810-05.htm |
