| Post subject: | Mysterious Option code 283 |
Hi all Can any help identify what code 283 is as an option on my 1988 2.7 lux? I've searched high and low online and it doesn't appear on any of the lists and its the only code I am unable to identify. Can anyone shed some light or point me in the right direct ref this? Thanks |

Does the car have headlight washers? Could the 3 be an 8. I have a book on codes, i will check when home. |

Hi Sean Yes it does have headlight washers (the little black jets on the bumper) but don't all 1988 models come with these? also I've checked and its defiantly a 2 not a 3 on the sticker. Sam - what are emergency flashers? Thanks

Emergency Lights would have been standard on a C16 car? 288 was the code for headlight washers which were an option hence I thought the 3 could be an 8. |

Just checked my list. The only 2 starting 28x are :- 286 High intensity windscreen washer 288 Headlight Washers |
