Last week the other half said she heard someone on the gravel drive about 10.30 but couldnt see anyone but at 2am there was an almighty bang at the back of the house, so she thought, so she turned the lights on but it banged again so she came down stairs but couldnt see anything. Today I went to tinker on the car and noticed someone has tried to screw driver the lock and have split the drivers window rubber. I can only asume it was an opportunist as I took her 4x4 that night to work and mine was parked up the top of the drive so the Porker could be seen at the side of the house but with a security light and a locked gate at the end of the drive how much protection do you need these days, sleep in it with a shot gun? why cant these people keep there bloody hands off other peoples stuff makes my blood boil.
Still got to look on the bright side went for a new job yesterday on days, like normal people, so I will be able to come to the club meets now, wahay......

Fecking twats, thats all they are.

Two nights ago we found my missus car on the drive with a busted door handle where someone tried to break in. Now Ive got to buy a new handle and spend friggin hours fitting it.

Make sure you report it though. I know they wont do anything about it, but I believe its important to have the crinme registered so the governement cant twist the stats to say crime is going down. I reported it online. took less than five mins.

You need a cat 1 imobiliser. When the scroats are about I leave mine unlocked with nothing in it. They can't steal it. The imobiliser sees to that. There after sat navs etc. They do a quick search & move on to another. Saves repairing paint & locks constantly.
Hope it's not too bad.

Someone I once knew constantly had his triumph dolomite sprint broken into and stereo stolen. He stuck a load of razor blades to it. Where the stereo was mounted low under the dash, the next twat that brok in thumbled about and slashed his fingers to bits. Never happend again, but it did cost him in valeting fees!

Bought a cliford alarm today, I like the idea of the baby monitors and the razor blades but with the way it is today it would more than likely get me done than them.

Plausable deniability? Nah, the idiot must have cut himself attempting to get in guv..

If you wanted to be really evil, have them spring loaded, facing unpwards, so hand going past without problems, but attempting to pull out again...

i have never locked a car that i own in my life. i have also never had one broke into or as far as i know i haven't anyway. maybe it pays to not lock a car?

must admit too that there have been mornings i have woke up looking for the car keys to find them still in the ignition with the car out on the street...its happened about 6 times now lol

Some little toe-rags broke into my garage and helped themselves to my stereo a month or two ago. Fortunately the car wasn't locked so they didn't have to break in. Despite the keys to get the head unit out being on the workbench in the garage, they used a screw driver and scratched up the centre console and broke off the armrest.
they even cut one of the wires on the head unit, rendering it worthless.
Firing Squad is too good for them..

I don't agree with the chap here who says to report it. All it will do is increase the crime stats for your post code and increase your car and house insurance premiums.

Sorry to hear about that. The friggin twats.

I take your point about impact of crime stts on postcode, but I also dont believe you should let crime happen without reporting it. Stats will assist the police force in securing additional resources which means we get a better service than we might otherwise. It also p1sses me off that the government are able to tell us that they are tackling crime, when they clearly arnt.

thank god im not alone !

my mates (and mrs) think im bonkers and tempting fate, but they've not gone walkabout yet.

only one i worry about is my (daytime mot'd) race bike, because it doesnt even have a lock fitted.. but then bike thieves tend to pick them up and put them in a van, so in reality its no easier to nick than a fully alarmed and locked "normal" bike
