I have, in the past, changed the belts on a 2.5 Lux and a S2. I have just started to check the belt timing and tensions on my latest 944, a S. However I have spent a fruitless 30 mins trying to find the aperature in the clutch housing so I can line up the TDC mark on the flywheel. There seems to be a lot more 'stuff' at the back of the engine which could be covering up the opening. The alternative is that the opening on the S is at the bottom of the clutch housing, anyone had the same problem. Remember this is a 944S which isnt covered in either Haynes or Clarks Garage. Incidently I cannot see the position sensors either.
