Post subject: | Floor mat brackets? |
Hi guys - bit of a random question. I've searched the schematics but can't seem to find one for a 944, but have for a 964 so presumably would fit. Looking for a way of securing my floor mats. I have seen some metal brackets which look to attach to the seat runner. I don't have clips in my carpet, nor do I want to make any holes. Does anyone have these metal clips/brackets? Cheers |

Hi Austin The OEM front floor mats have 2 studs on the underside that pop on to the brackets, which locate under the seat runners as you say. Can't find ref to them on PET, possibly they come with the floor mats. But if you have no fasteners on your carpet you wouldn't need these? Stuart |

Ahhh - so I can stop my mats sliding all over the place ![]() I'd be interested in the spare set you have - how much do you want for them? Do you mind showing me a photo so I know what I'm looking at. |

You would need to attach the appropriate studs to your mats for the OEM fittings to be any use. Or buy OEM mats! ![]() Stuart |

On mine the the buttond are on the brackets, they go through an eyelet on the OEM mats, these are 993 units. |

I think that the brackets are available for the 944 without the mats. I seem to recall Waylander found the number for someone else a few months back. |

Thanks guys, sounds like you can’t buy them separately without the OEM floor mats. Since I have a lovely set of mats already I’ll have to keep and eye out on breakers websites. |

It's not rocket science to make your own, I have made several for my cars over the years. Piece of flat metal strip, slotted one end to go under the front of the seat rail, slight kink to step down over the floor stiffener and a press stud male half on the end and the other half through the carpet. https://www.flags-flagpoles-banners.co. ... gJAPPD_BwE |

Hi The part number is 000 043 202 80 Bracket Floor Mat Set @ £20.50 Inc Vat, and the originals have twist and lock on them not press studs, and you can use these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Mat-Carp ... Sw-U1aU6Nj just put the top part in the carpet and chuck the bottom bit away, looks completely original that way. |

Waylander wrote: and the originals have twist and lock on them not press studs, Having bought a set of OE Porsche Possessions carpets for a 944 some years ago I must disagree, they came fitted with press studs, probably superceded now for the more modern twist lock. |
