I was out doing some winter checks yesterday and topped up my windscreen washer bottle, only to see water pouring out just below the headlight on the same side as the bottle. I’m assuming there could be a pipe off or split that goes down towards the headlight washer.

Do I need to remove the front bumper to see what’s going on? If so, is there anything I should know or is it a simple task?

Jack the front corner of the car up or better still drive it onto ramps and you should be able to see whats going on.
