just popping in to say hiya to Jim in Kent and any other forum members who might know me.....
After making the enormous mistake of selling my 1st red s2 after many years and taking 18months to decide the mint low mileage merc Sl wasnt for us
just didnt hold a candle to my s2 ,,feel like i was being driven about by a luxury barge lol no disrespect to the car,,it behaved faultlessly just my personal opinion and it felt huge,,,,,
So a while back i traded it for a 117k miles Tauben /dove blue s2 ,,, a solid car with an expectional history....
she needed a bit of love and affection so in the year and half nearly a couple of k has been spent doing all those silly little things and some not so silly,,,,,
On my second Dansk exhaust after the first failed in the summer after 500 miles and still under warranty just like the present one,,which is fine at the moment,,,,
lots of jobs like fuel filter [had seized so was a bugger to get off],,new handbrake cable and shoes,,,new heating speed controller,,new alternator and fan belts,,,she came with budget rubber so they were replaced with 4 #rainsports 3s....new exhaust,,,and lots of other smaller bits like fuel lines cleaned and proved to be near perfect,,,electrical stuff and lots of labour,,,,
her first mot ,,no advisorys,,,she is now running so well but recently needed a new fog light lens so i managed to get some perspex fog light covers and super adhesive clear tape so it should be great until a decide to get a replacement ,,,,,
Work for this year around autumn or before xmas is cambelts,water pump..camchain,,rollers,, etc..etc....mot in feb with no worries there,,,,
