 Post subject: exhaust putty ?????

got some blowing from exhaust back box
has anyone used exhaust putty to make a repair ?
if so does it last long :?: :?:

was around back muffler
i bought some only 3 quid from halfords
pasted the lot on last night
done the trick for now

I have used liquid steel on an exhaust before and it lasted a year but I had to change the section for the MOT as it would have failed or so the tester said.
