Coming home from a local Porsche meeting in my red 924/68 and some twat decided that using mirrors was optional and moved lanes while I was passing him while approaching red lights. So only 5-10 MPH

Front wing, door and rear wing all damaged
Door is shagged but wings fairly minor

That doesn't sound good Jason. Is it on agreed value?

Sorry to hear that. That is horrendous and your worst nightmare whilst out and about. Unfortunately the roads are full of careless idiots.

Mine has been in the paint shop for 3 months for a full re-spray and the thought of that happening would make me incandescent with rage!

Not good news but a decent door replacement and some panel fettling required. Don't let it get you down :)

Really sorry to read this Jason it must be heartbreaking. Your 924 is really too good to share the roads with such careless and thoughtless drivers. Hope sorting it is as painless as possible.

Sake, I'd have completely lost it with the guy. I hope it's repairable. Keep us informed.

Oh dear!
Very sorry to read this & hope you get it sorted soon.
Without seeing any pictures, check your wheels for damage too- if there is any get your alignment checked out. I got hit in the family car & had all the body work addressed only to discover damage to the near side front wheel that had pushed the wheel out of alignment.

I have the claim number from the other guy who has admitted liability.

Haven't and won't be speaking to my own company, they prefer it that way as it saves them paying my company their costs.
My bodyshop will now deal direct with his company

The estimate from Daytona Coachworx in Stevenage was sent in to his insurance a couple of weeks back for £3k

Yesterday I had a call from the engineer as he'd been researching values and wanted to know more about my car.
a minute or two later he said, yep, no problem we'll get that sorted for you :D

It goes in during September, might as well go for a full respray in new paint rather than the new to match the old

Seems painless enough and you'll probably see a fair bit of benefit from the situation.
