| Post subject: | Rattling gear stick |
When the car is under labour at relatively low revs, or is revving above about 4000rpm, the gear lever rattles violently. I have replaces the gear lever with a new one from only 944.com and have also fitted a short shifter from the same source, but the rattle still continues. I have checked the gearbox mounts and they all seem fine. Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks |

It could be your engine mounts. The driver side one is prone to failing and will create vibration through the car. |
