I believe RGA are indeed the guys for this. I looked into this a while ago as it's on my to-do list. I think they have them on the shelf so you just drop off your one and pick up the replacement at the same time.

Really I will ring them tomorrow, on the shelf would be really handy.

May I ask what you actually overhaul?

The bearings within the tube. Augment Automotive (berlyn services) came back to me today and will be shipping me out a freshly refurbished unit within the next couple of weeks.

How much mileage do you have to come across this issue? It's quite a task to remove the torque tube from the car. Was thinking of removing it from the car to eliminate surface rust & paint.

Noise from the near side rear which sometimes sounds like a wheel bearing. I had the wheel bearing replaced and the car was quieter but I now can hear a different sound from the rear and I get vibration from the centre of the car at speed.

I have not removed mine yet so I don't know what it full entails but the gearbox is going to have to come off at least.

Mine makes a bit of a grumble too... engine on in neutral clutch up vs clutch down is very obvious! I'll live with it for now though :?

For taking off the TT, edreadas has a good 4 part series on youtube for changing the clutch which of course includes having the torque tube out.

Episode one here:
