Genuine nearside wing prices

Has anybody bought a genuine nearside wing lately ? I noticed today my wing has started to bubble quite quickly (it wasn't like it a month ago) and the car is going in for some paint very shortly so now seems like the best time to replace it.

What model is it for? Around £800 when I tried to get an S2 one at the start of the year. I was quoted £1200 for wing, fitting and paint, so I opted to repair rather than replace.

The guy selling pattern S2/Turbo wings on eBay has offered them cheaper to Facebook group (can't remember if it was the S2 or the 924/944 Spares group). Could be worth giving him a shout for best price if you fancy one. Someone needs to be the guinea pig for these and let us know how easily they go on :roll:

Its for my Turbo. I saw them on e bay and wondered about their fitment, I have so much issues over the last two years (paint mainly) I don't really want to be the guinea pig

They're priced at £747.81 (inc VAT) from Rose Passion. That's a scary £100 increase on this time last year.

Did they have stock ? OPC quoted £627.46 nil stock, back order no foreseeable delivery date.

Just take it to a decent body shop and get them to fabricate a repair panel. Far cheaper, those prices are scandalous.

That's a bit awkward to arrange at the minute as its having paint work via insurers including paint onto that wing so I would be fitting it ahead of it going in.

. In that position I'd either repair or get a genuine secondhand or new wing.

However, how many 944 wings are made? I bet it's not many compared to many cars out there.

At least you can get the parts. In the RST world that looks sensible for pricing!

I have taken a chance and ordered one of the pattern wings, I plan to prep the back and fit it before it goes to the paint shop, I will let you know what its like.

Let us know how the fitting goes, with pics if possible. My understanding (not from experience) is that there's almost always some fettling involved when fitting pattern panels, it would be useful to know how much. Fingers crossed it goes well and there is not too much work involved.
