Well had to be done after the front spoiler, 968 mirrors and door handles. I've ordered the Teilcar kit to go with a genuine 951 wing. I know quite a few have done it but found descriptions confusing. Any tips and preferences for colour coded or std "Ralley Black" as per late S2s? Does it stop water peeing into the boot?

Hi Endoman

I can't comment regarding fitting but my 91 S2's bridge spoiler is red and I have no reason to believe it was ever black, although I know many are. I asked the question before having it resprayed and enough people thought that they did come body coloured sometimes to convince me to keep it that way.

Personally I think it looks great body coloured, but black is cool too. And I suppose the black spoiler is a bit of a 944 thing if you know what mean.

As for stopping it leaking, I've know idea but I'm pretty sure mine doesn't leak. That could be the seals though. If it is heavier (is it?) maybe it could stop your boot opening though if your gas struts are not fresh.

Hello chaps

The turbo got a bridge from MY90. It was black, not coded. The S2 got bridge spoiler from MY91 and the ones I've seen all seem to be colour coded. In terms of leaks, mine being factory fit, not a problem. And there is no collecting of fish ponds like the rubber spoiler with blocked drains! Also I think the bridge is just a far nicer spoiler all together, and according to the MY90 brochure it is a step forward aerodynamically from the rubber spoiler. They are notorious however for shedding hockey sticks at the side and also the main element becoming loose and being un-tightenable. I have however managed to secure my hockey sticks and main element quite well.

I don't think it's any heavier, lighter actually I think. My hatch pops up no bother on button press but I have replaced the gas struts and the hatch seal.
