I had my 17" wheels refurbed and they somehow gained a set of tyres which were not the ones already fitted. Not too bothered they were Federals and didn't perform too well. I'm looking for something that could handle a wet track if necessary. 205/50 17 and 255/40 17 are the recommended sizes (993 Cup 2 wheels)

I'm using NS2R's, on the budget spectrum but for the money I can't fault them at all. They appear to wear well and the dry grip is brilliant. Not sure how well they'll do on a wet track as they aren't the best on a wet road - still useable though.

The only tyre I've found better for a similar price point are the Yoko AD08Rs. These are also the tyre of choice for the BridgeToGantry BMW RingTaxis around the Nurburgring.
