Here's a quick run down of my 944 project/daily driver which I have now owned for just over a year now. Which hasn't let me down once even after a 3,000 mile road trip to Austria and Italy last year. Quite a lot has been changed on the car over the past year a good write up can be found here on my recent feature http://www.flussigmagazine.com/11/post/ ... plate.html

But I'll throw in a quick summary here with just pictures to get up to speed

Image
Day I picked it up, needed the typical sill repairs

Image
When I got it on the road after the sill repair

Image
Getting some interior ideas with my buckets from my previous car

Image
New 17" Otto Fuchs arrived

Image
Wheels fitted with car at standard height

Image
Gaz coilovers arrived

Image
Coilovers fitted and lowered rear eccentrics all the way down

Image
Had rust bubble on the edge of the rear lamp so tried out a new look until I could get it painted and tinted rear lights

Image
Rear valence fitted and manifold back john Ashley exhaust built to the car

Image
Repaired the LCD clock

Image
Started re trimming the interior and fitted a momo wheel

The condition of my car 2 weeks before my road trip to worthersee lake Austria and Italy

1 week before I'm due to leave

Paint finished and full car mop

Going for a singer style interior using Porsche houndstooth centres with black leather sides

Trip to Austria and Italy

Got some more things coming in the next few months. Have a complete s2 front end conversion ready to go on and some more custom touches.

Lovely looking motor..that houndstooth interior is a bit special! It really screams '80's German sports car'! Love the new Fuch style wheels too..all-in-all a classy-looking car to be proud of 8).

There's a little too much form there for me but I love the package! It certainly looks stunning! Fair play on the interior retrim! That actually works very well!

No doubt you are proud of the car :).

That is really nice! great work. Love the stance from the back with the rear diffuser, ride height and new wheels - looks amazing and brand new! Interior looks really good too, love the material :thumbleft:

Thanks for the kind comments guys! And what's next is a s2 front end conversion and possibly a front lip to put on it and more paintwork and repairs. While I was off for chrismas managed to get some time in on it to finally sort the sunroof out while I was doing the headlining. The front pressure switch was bypassed because the previous owner in guessibg had no clue to how it worked so I now have roof that works as it should and a fresh headlining

And glass sunroof isn't a bad idea but I'd imagine it would be hard to make it look original

It wasn't a kit it's just 2M of Mercedes grain vinyl, very close to the original. And to fit wise a pain in the ass to make it fit nicely and will take awhile to do

With the stance of your car I prefer your current front end, I think removing the orange indicators and side repeaters would suit it though.
