Rears
I've been told I will need 30mm spacers or adaptors on the rear for ET50 wheels, what max. size tyres will not foul arch?

Fronts
Information more sketchy - will 30mm spacers not make wheels stick out too much?

Currently on 7x15 ET23.3 Teledials with 225/50/15 tyres.

Thanks

Ian

Stock size tyres will fit within the arches.

As for the wheels without the spacers the handling could become strange and the wheels will sit far too much into the wheelarch. That will go for either the 16" Cup wheels or D90s.

One alternative is to get 16" Turbo Teledials from an early offset 220 Turbo, but these are becoming scarcer as more and more cars go back to standard. They do however look superb and IMO a little different to the ClubSport wheels that were on the Turbo S cars.

That said, 17 wheels offer cheaper tyres bar the "normal" D90 sizes.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but it seemed more relevant here than starting a new one

I have a 1986 944 2.5 Lux with standard 15" teledials at the moment, as it's an early non ABS car the offset should be ET23 as far as I understand.

I've seen some 16" D90 alloys which are 6J size, will these fit my car? Will I need spacers? If not which D90 wheels would be the ones to get?

Thanks

Hi, 6" et52 will need even more width (spacers) to put them in the same position as your 7x15 et23 originals.

They are tricky to find but it's best to look for an et23 16" set ideally

http://www.willtheyfit.com will allow you to check your current set up against a new set up including tyres and will give you an idea of how it will change or not change the reading on your speedo and odometer.

I have a set of 17 Cup replicas with ET15 and ET23 that I no longer need.... They're currently stored away in bubble wrap but will get photo if needed. Never been fitted since being refurbed with new powdercoat. Couple of chips where they've been stored on the edge of one wheel. PM me if these may be of interest...
