I have the original 7J Tele dials on mine. Here's a pic. Bare in mind the car is lowered as well by ~30mm.

I have an 83 car with cookie cutters and wanted to widen the rear track, I had been looking for some 8j wheels for the rear but cant find anything suitable and like the look of the cookie cutters anyway.. Has anyone run spacers on the rear? has it hurt performance? I would be keen to hear of what spacers people have had experience with.... |

I have some hubcentric spacers on the rear of mine, only a few mm. Will try and find out what make, they weren't expensive. |

your '83 car should have come from the factory with 20mm spacers on the rear I believe. I have an '86 Lux and have been running 23mm spacers on the rear (hub centric bolt on) and 7mm spacers on the front. Had these on since spring and done about 2,500m miles no issues. Think I got all of the spacers from Design911.co.uk I wouldnt go any wider than 23mm (about the limit) and would recommend 21mm on the rear. |

Spacers are fine as long as you get some longer studs. |

Mine are et23 I believe and as it's an 83' car it comes from the factory with 20mm spacers at the back. Yours look like they poke out a bit more and fill the arches nicely... |

The parts catalogue (PET) for the early car lists 2 alternate spacers for the rear wheels. 1. 477 501 701 listed as a 21mm spacer ring (bolts part # 911 331 671 00) 2. 930 331 611 04 listed as a 28mm spacer ring (bolts part # 901 331 671 01) See illustration 501-05. |
