Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but a quick search was inconclusive.
I replaced both wishbones in 2002 with David Gilmour & Sons items as advertised in 911 and Porsche world. Now i have an advisory on the nearside so its time to replace the wishbone joint.
It has covered 27k in the 14 years since fitted ,so not particularly longlasting, however i am a bit hamfisted with a grease gun so it had been overfilled and unseated the rubber bellows. This may have accelerated the wear on the joint
D Gilmour is not traceable at the old address/website.
Has anyone tried to fit one of the currently available rebuild kits to a D Gilmour item.
I seem to remember that D Gilmour engineered the balljoint pocket so this could preclude fitting a current kit, and may also prevent the old wishbone being acceptable for an exchange unit.
If anyone has experience of this i will be interested to know.

I don't know what address/contact details you have for D.Gilmour but here's their current website:

http://dgilmour.co.uk/

I called in to enquire about getting my wishbones refurbished a few years ago & despite him not advertising the service he was more than happy to offer to do the job. In the end i didn't get mine done (had been mentioned at an mot but still not bad enough to be put as an advisory) and I sold the car a few months later.

I was under the impression that S2 wishbones were not viable to rebuild - ie buy complete new...
