Towing eye thread size '86 on.

Does anyone know what size threads I need for an '86 on 944 as I have a track day booked at Goodwood next month and I would like to get a towing eye beforehand, I have searched the net without getting a definite answer, I tried my 996 one but it doesn't fit?

M19x3, suggested by a few places, or M20x3

It isn't a metric thread, its a DIN thread.

As I recall i used the towing eye from a Mondeo mk2 to tug mine out of the garage.....

Was it the same thread or just a make do solution to pull it out? I see that Mondeo and Saab's use the same size and I have a Saab currently sat on my drive that I may use if it's the same.

Other than that has anyone use a specialist trackday one that can recommend will fit?

DIN 405 Rd 0.8" (20mm approx.) x 1/8".
