Hi all

I was looking at fitting a CD player instead of the original equipment (I will keep this equipment)

I want a period look ish and stumbled on the idea of fitting a Becker CD-R 220.

Can any of the ice experts let me know if this is possible.

Regards

Mark

Mark,

This should be easy, but depending on the wiring you may have to cut into the wires. Nothing serious. Where are you based? I could help you fit this!

Rav

Thanks for the reply, I live in Plymouth.

I have not bought anything yet but looking at options.

I think I have mentioned the original Bremen blaupunkt and graphic equaliser fitted.

Currently it won't play tapes and just spews them out. I have spent good money repairing it before.

I was toying with the idea of fitting a parrot system onto it to keep every thing stock.

The CD-R 220 seems readily available and has a nice understated look about it.

If it were me I'd get the HU out to see what you have to play with. If the wires are not cut it is a plug and play affair with the right adaptor.

Not sure what your budget is but you can buy brand new retro look head units that have all latest capabilities like bluetooth, ipod/mp3 connectivity. etc whilst still retaining the cars stock look? Just stick retro headunit into google. One of first links it came up with below.
