Saw an eBay listing regarding a 924S being broken by a large established breakers. So, followed the listing instructions and phoned them up. A guy listened to what I asked for, it went something like this...the LOWER front panel, the bit that has the plastic grille in it, under the front bumper, between the wings..and if you open the fuel cap, the rubber SLEEVE that fits around the filler tube - not the tube, the sleeve please. OK says the guy, I will get you a price and phone back. I waited and waited and waited, so rang again. Different guy answers, gave exactly the same details. He also said he would get back to me...but didn't. So, next day, phoned again to contact second guy (as I had his name), twice his colleagues said he was on the phone but they would get him to ring back...that didn't happen. Loosing the will to live now.. :|

Anyway, last chance, phoned again a day later, got a totally different guy. Gave him the details, he gave me some prices, I said OK. A day later he phoned me!! He said we have your parts, they will go out tomorrow. We are sending you the panel that goes between the headlights.. No, I said, that is the badge panel, and proceeded to explain once again what panel I needed. OK, we will get that off the car and get it out to you, along with the rubber sleeve. OK, ta I said...

Parcel arrives today......you know where this is leading. I am now in receipt of the badge panel and the filler tube...

Honestly, you just cant make this stuff up - what a shower. Pathetic. Next week a telephone rant is in order...

It does sound like that breakers just outside of Standish wigan. If it is, was after the plastic fitting that connects the alternator cooling duct to the front panel. I was told it would cost under £15 so wouldn't be worth it for them and I couldn't have it  the daft part was I worked 2 minutes away in Standish and said I could collect and they still wouldn't let me have it.

Well, just to round this up...It took ages to sort out with the company, numerous phone calls, etc. Broken promises of 'I'll get back to you', etc. Anyway, the upshot was while I was getting the wrong parts, the ones I needed where being sold to someone else!

So, just had to send everything back and try to extract a refund. Took an age, but it has arrived, so it's sorted. But, I still haven't got what I want, so still looking. Woolie hasn't got a 924 lower front panel (valance), and Elliot at Porkaparts never phoned back, so I will probably just have to get very creative with the rather mangled and somewhat rusty one I do have.

Just in case anyone else wants to deal with this company - it's Car Transplants. Have a look at their Google reviews...

Is there anyone out there with a goodish 924 lower front valance for sale..???

It's really not worth mucking about with used rusty panels, you'd be lucky to find a really good one.
The labour involved in making good will cost plenty

It may seem expensive but a new one is around £300, maybe a bit less with Tipec discount from OPC

Hi Jason, I understand the sentiment regards making good a rusty panel, but at £300 that equates to 3/4 the cost of the car! Especially as the panel is pretty small...It is going to cost quite a bit of time to make good the sills, so at the same time I will see what can be achieved on the front panel. If it fails I can get a fibreglass one at about £80...not ideal I know, but needs must..
