Hi there, Still continuing with working on the Turbo. Door Check Strap - I had to remove the door on the Passenger side, when I removed the door check strap, the captive nuts on the inside of the door body cavity fell off and I presume they are now sitting inside the cavity and I cannot get to them. So I cannot replace the door check strap at the moment. I bought some rivnuts, that are supposed to clamp on to the metal as you tighten them up with a lock washer but I have tried to do that once and it was not very successful, I think really I need the special tool to insert them correctly. Other than that, I'm thinking I may have to get nuts welded in place but I don't own a welder, so that's a bit awkward. Has anyone else had a similar problem and might know a solution? thank you Also, on the passenger side, I need the plastic guard details, I can buy a whole set on Ebay for £30 but I only need one side - does anyone have these spare that they wouldn't mind selling? thanks Kat |
