Hi guys,

I'm currently reassembling the 944 turbo after a full respray. Last night I took the window rail out so I could fit the door handle without having to do the stupid screwdriver through the hole method that all went smoothly however the window dropped off the lifting runners and I spent nearly an hour last night trying to get it back on to no avail. Any tips?

Cheers, Jimbo

Take the opposite door card off for reference

Remove all the mechanisms and hold the window up to the top of the frame with decent tape, up one side of the glass, over the frame and down the other side, plenty of strips of tape,
Cover the paint on the frame so you don't get it sticking to that.

Then it should be fairly simple, getting the rollers in place can tricky and done by feel

Have you got a copy of the workshop manual? it may explain how to go about removing and replacing the glass. Look on Google for the manual?

Cheers

Cheers guys. I unbolted the motor and it was dead easy after that, in fact it made putting the passenger door back together a dream.
