I'm looking for a good quality fitted soft cotton indoor car cover for my 924S. Can any recommend a supplier?

Are you going to wash and dry it every time you take it out? If not I wouldn't bother. You'll do more harm putting the cover on over the slightest bit of grit than it will ever save, and once it's got grit on it, it will always have grit on it. Scratchy scratchy

Yup quite agree, also every time you open the garage the cover moves & chafes (ooh nasty!) the paint....

The car is going into indoor winter storage, so the cover will not be taken off untill the roads are salt free in the spring. I just want to keep it dust free. I've got one for my 1948 Morris Series E and I've not had a problem with the paint being marked over the past 18 years.

I guess for once a year use then the issue is less of a concern.

Winter storage, however - something else I believe is a bad thing...

If you buy a proper custom made indoor cover there will be no movement or chaffing

There are to many cheap covers on the market giving the good covers a bad name.

My concern is not chafing especially, it's the potential for damage cause when fitting a cover to a car that has even a tiny spec of grit on it. Something that I would expect to be worsened by a snug cover.

I'm not having a pop, I just think covers for the most part either do more harm than good or alternatively are more trouble than they are worth.

I understand your concern.

Due to the fleece lining any tiny spec's of grit are embeded in the fleece and wont drag against the paint.

But yes the car does need cleaning before the cover can be fitted.

I guess to be fair I have never used a proper, quality fitted cover. I know me, and it wouldn't work for me as often as not my car gets put away dirty. Having said that for all my Mini gets used these days...

Covers are not ideal for vehicles that are in regular use.

I have seen loads of damaged vehicles over the years due to ill fitting covers or due to covers being fitted to dirty cars.

If you are looking to protect your pride and joy but use it regularly, then this is what you need.

Now that is more like it.

Just un-zip the door on the front and drive it in.

The chamber then circulates filtered air around your car keeping it dry and moisture free
